Pamesa supports the fight against childhood cancer

Villarreal CF and Pamesa Cerámica president Fernando Roig presented last morning the solidarity campaign “United by Hope”, which is driven by Aspanion and the supporters group Celtic Submarí. This project, that will be run by a pediatric oncology unit at Hospital La Fe in Valencia, pursues an ambitious and emotive goal: promoting and funding a research program – whose cost is around 150.000 euros- that allows children with cancer to overcome the aftermath of sterility (that can be caused by aggressive treatments against the disease), so that they can become parents in the future.

In order to achieve this objective, and in words of president, “the club will use all possible means available”. Roig announced that Pamesa Cerámica joins the project and will make a contribution valued in 20.000 euros.

The initiatives to be implemented to raise funds include a friendly match next season (date and opponent to be confirmed) whose incomes will be entirely destined to finance the project. In addition, Roig ensured that the goal will be achieved: I’m really excited about this campaign and I am sure that is going to get the necessary amount of money. I am convinced it will be a success for all the work that the different partners are doing . “

The president also highlighted the solidarity of Villarreal and was proud of the initiatives of the collective Celtic Submarí: “Villarreal has distinguished itself by always help in everything that has been able to society and the needy and I’m proud to preside over an entity like this. Also it’s worth noting the work of supporters and the members of Celtic Submarí who since their inception have always differentiated by their solidarity”.
