Pamesa Business Group, devoted to the production and sales of ceramic products, atomised clays, chemicals and energy commercialisation, obtained a consolidated turnover of €422 million in 2015, reflecting an increase of 7% on the total of €395 million for 2014 and exceeding the Group’s projected sales targets for 2015 of €400 million. The volume of sales of ceramic products for 2015 was over 60 million m², an increase of 11% on the previous year’s figures for the same sales.
During 2015, Pamesa Business Group continued to expand its workforce significantly, reaching an average total of 1,163 workers. Today, the Group has 1,218 workers on its payroll. In addition, the Group’s investments in plant and equipment increased to €28 million.
At the close of 2015, the Group registered pre-tax profits of €40.2 million, an increase of 47% on pre-tax profits for 2014. This significant increase, in addition to the increase in sales mentioned above, is due to economies of scale, and improvements in productivity and energy efficiency, all a consequence of the substantial investments totalling €86 million over the last three years.
The Pamesa Business Group’s targets for 2016 are to consolidate levels of sales, forecast to exceed €430 million, and to continue improving on the level of results obtained in 2015. The Group will also maintain its high level of investments, enabling continued improvements to energy efficiency and enhanced productivity.
