Pamesa Industrial Group increases turnover, workforce, investments and profits in the first half of 2015

The Pamesa Industrial Group, devoted to the production and sales of ceramic products, atomised clays, chemicals and energy commercialisation, recorded sales of 217 million euros in the first half of 2015, representing an increase of 8% on the previous year and a year-on-year figure of 415.7 million, reflecting an increase of 12%. 72% of ceramic tile turnover corresponds to export markets. By the end of the year the Group expects to exceed the budgeted annual sales figure, set at around 400 million euros.

During the first six months of 2015, the Pamesa Industrial Group’s workforce grew considerably, reaching a total of 1,140 workers compared to the 1,037 on the payroll as of December 2014; the expected increase for the whole of 2015 will be over 10%.

Regarding its investments, the Group continues with its policy of channelling significant investments into its Onda and Almazora factories, designed to substantially increase their productivity. Investments up to 30 June 2015 totalled 11 million euros from the total investment budget for 2015 of 20.5 million euros.

The Group’s pre-tax profits for the first six months of 2015 reached 20.2 million euros, an increase of 44% on the same period last year. This significant increase in profits is due to continuing growth of sales and to the Group’s lower unit costs as a result of the investments and improved production in recent years.
