Kingswood: Residence in Valencia

The point of departure for this refurbishment was a classic building in the Valencian modernisme style: high ceilings with exposed beams. Located in Valencia’s Gran Vía Fernando El Católico, this apartment has been turned into a bright, airy home whose charm lies in the right choice of materials used.

The central feature of this makeover project is a wood-effect porcelain stoneware tile from Pamesa Cerámica. Kingswood Argent, in 22 x 85 centimetre format, is used in all the rooms, lending a strong sense of visual continuity. This floor tile, which meets both the flat’s requirements and the client’s preferences, was chosen not only for its guaranteed natural feel, but also for its durability and low maintenance. The collection is available in five colours: Argent, Magma, Musgo, Natural, Oxid.

The large area given over to the kitchen has been designed to open onto the living-dining room. The combination of wood-look ceramic tiles, white units and marble work surfaces gives a pure, contemporary feel and creates a spacious atmosphere.

One aim of this refurbishment was to retain the aesthetic style of the dwelling with a functional and harmonious choice of colours. The flooring provides an additional warm touch that blends perfectly with the flat’s other features.

The child’s bedroom is decorated in the same tones as the rest of the apartment, but with splashes of colour to add a fresh, cheerful touch. A cosy, functional room where the floor tiles take centre stage.

The selection of materials for the bathroom was determined by the need for durability and water resistance. The ideal solution came in the form of porcelain stoneware for both the floor and the walls: 30.3 x 61.3 centimetre format Metz Relieve Hueso and Epsilon Perla were selected for the walls, matching perfectly with the Kingswood floor tiles.

Products from Pamesa give this family flat a decorative edge, providing the basis to create pleasant environments with a preference for white and nature-inspired colours.
