Live music and events to launch the Pamesa Promises League

Tonight from 8.30 p.m. onwards the main square of Vila-real will be the venue for the opening ceremony of the 22nd edition of the National Pamesa Promises League Tournament, to be held from 19-21 June at the sports facilities of Villarreal FC, a competition sponsored by Pamesa Cerámica.

With outstanding entertainers including Xarxa Teatre from Vila-real, the climax of the event will be the music of Endavant Província. A group of musicians from bands all over the province that was put together during the last season of this successful initiative will play shortened versions of the anthems of each of the teams taking part in the tournament.

A total of 19 bands from Castellón and nearly 1,200 musicians took part, together with others from 35 municipal districts, in the Endavant Província event, playing for supporters of Villarreal Football Club on the pitch of the El Madrigal ground, before and during the Spanish League matches.

The elite of Spain’s Youth League

The competition, which gets underway tomorrow, 19 June, from 10.00 a.m. onwards, will be broadcast by La Sexta and La Liga TV channels, and will be divided into four groups, each with five teams. Villarreal’s youth team will be playing in Group B with its sights set on reaching the round of 16. The groups include the following teams:

Group A: Barcelona, Málaga, Levante, Elche and Córdoba.

Group B: Villarreal, Atlético de Madrid, Real Betis, Getafe and Eibar.

Group C: Real Madrid, Espanyol, Celta, Granada and Deportivo de la Coruña.

Group D: Valencia, Sevilla, Real Sociedad, Rayo Vallecano and Almería.
