Javier Gómez Noya, the World Triathlon Champion sponsored by Pamesa Cerámica, finished seventh in the Life Time Series in Oceanside that was celebrated yesterday in California. It was his last competition this year, so he ended his year’s triathlon season there. The triathletes who participated were different from the World Series and they run the same distance as the Olympics.
Gomez Noya, who could not score points for the whole not to have competed in at least three races from the circuit, competed with a bike and clothing of the 1980s, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Specialized foundation.
But surely, Gómez Noya enjoyed this experience: “It was the last competition of the year and not have taken me competitively, but as a tribute to the history of Specialized. It has been special to compete with bathing suit and dress shirt as I did when I started in the late 90s”. After this curious competition, Gómez Noya has three-week break. By the end of November, he will start his training for 2015.
