Their fourth victory in the Eurocup group stage, Valencia Basket yesterday dominated against Umana Reyer Venezia (88-59) in a match in which they increased their advantage right to the end.
This victory cemented the ‘orange’ team’s lead in Group C of the Eurocup; four victories in four matches and eight wins accumulated in the Endesa League and the Eurocup.
In the press conference following the victory against Umana Reyer Venecia, team coach Pedro Martínez stated, “Today we should be satisfied, but it won’t always be like that, starting with Sunday, it’s clear that many things need improving and we have to be ready to make the maximum effort, that’s what we must work towards. That’s our target; there’ll be good days and not so good days, we mustn’t fall into the trap of thinking that it’s always going to be like this, because it obviously won’t be. Having said that, we have to enjoy the good moments, we’re leaving on a happy note, but this is going to be a long process”.
