The world champion triathlon sponsored by Pamesa Cerámica continues to gather awards. The jury of the National Sports Awards got together yesterday at the Sports Council of Madrid (CSD) to grant awards which the Spanish Royal Family will give. These recognize athletes, associations and other entities that stand out for their support and promotion of sport.
Javier Gómez Noya will collect the Don Felipe de Borbón Award in recognition as being the best sportsperson of 2013, both nationally and internationally. With this award, the Galician triathlete is rewarded by a successful career, among them four victories in the Triathlon World Championships after winning a silver medallist at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
This award is added to the Marca Legend award given by the Spanish sports newspaper Marca. Recognitions that he receives after closing a extraordinary season: in the Half Ironman 70.3 Panama, in the World Series, the Ironman World Championships, Beijing and Barcelona.
